“Asking yourself, ‘What are you going to do about it?’ is the starting point of some amazing journeys.”

John is driven by a fascination for creating the right environment for companies to grow. He has channeled this passion in various roles from being part of the founding team of the first for-profit Gap Year company in the UK, which is now the largest in the world, to being the director of an Innovation Centre at Tec de Monterrey, one of Latin America’s most prestigious universities, where he co-developed innovation strategies for blue chip companies and budding entrepreneurs alike. In 2010 John and a team of students won the Cisco I-prize that identified a billion dollar idea that Bridges the Gap between Virtual and Physical Worlds.

He has lived and worked in 8 countries, loves visiting wild unexplored regions, relishes listening to live music and makes a kick-ass curry.
